We inspect before we quote
No phone-estimate guessing – we look at the actual panel and wiring first.
On-site inspection before pricing and a written quote before work starts, no matter where you're located – and pricing is based on the job, not the postal code.
We handle Electrical Safety Authority notification as part of the job when it's required.
We take on homes and business properties across the same service area.
Kanata was farmland until the 1960s, when developer Bill Teron began building it as a planned community; it operated as an independent city from 1978 until Ottawa's 2001 amalgamation. It's best known today as "Silicon Valley North" – the Kanata North Business Park and Kanata Research Park along March and Eagleson Roads are home to a dense cluster of tech employers, alongside the residential subdivisions that make up most of the area.
Because Kanata's residential growth spans from the 1960s through to current new-build subdivisions, panel age and capacity vary a lot house to house even on the same street. A 1970s Kanata home is a very different starting point for an EV charger or panel upgrade than a home built in the last decade – we assess each one on its own, not by neighbourhood assumption.
The tech park brings a steady mix of office and light-industrial electrical work alongside the residential calls – tenant fit-outs, panel capacity for server and equipment rooms, and lighting maintenance for commercial space.
Kanata isn't one uniform area – the business park and the neighbourhoods around it in Kanata North see a different mix of calls than the residential streets further south. We serve both sides, and we've worked in enough Kanata homes and offices to know that a house near the tech park often has different electrical history than one in an older Kanata subdivision further from it, even a short drive apart.

The price is confirmed before work starts.

We leave the site the way we found it.
Yes – we handle residential calls throughout Kanata's subdivisions as well as commercial work in the business park.
Possibly, but it depends on the specific home and any prior upgrades. We check the actual panel rather than assuming based on the build era.
Yes – newer homes are often built to current code with more panel headroom, but we still confirm capacity before installing.
Yes – it's one of our more common Kanata calls, likely tied to the concentration of tech-sector commuters in the area. We size every install to the panel's actual capacity rather than assuming it'll fit.
