Question No. 11 1 min read

What’s the difference between replacing an outlet and installing a new one?

A replacement swaps out an existing outlet or switch on wiring that's already there. A new installation means running a new circuit or extending wiring to a location that doesn't have one yet, which generally takes more time and materials – see Outlet & Switch Installation for typical pricing.
